A gyűlölet / La haine

A gyűlölet / La haine is a black and white French film that will be screened with Hungarian subtitles. Directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, the film was released in 1995 and has a runtime of 95 minutes. The main cast includes Vincent Cassel, Hubert Koundé, Said Taghmaoui, Abdel Ahmed Ghili, and Solo.

The film tells the story of many people who leave their homeland and start a new life elsewhere. However, most countries do not have a place for them and they end up living in ghettos. In these immigrant-populated suburbs, hatred thrives. Hopelessness, lack of understanding, and isolation permeate into every household, affecting people’s souls.

Sixteen-year-old Abdul ends up in the hospital after a clash with the police. His friend Vincent finds a gun that a police officer lost during the riots. Vincent becomes determined that if his friend dies, he will kill a police officer in exchange for his friend’s life.

Diákszervezeti és Szakkollégiumi Expo 2023

Join us at the Diákszervezeti és Szakkollégiumi Expo 2023, organized by the Corvinus Hallgatói Önkormányzat. This event will take place from August 28th to August 31st at Fővám tér 8, Budapest.

At the DSZ Expo, you will have the opportunity to get to know the student organizations operating at the university, as we will have over 36 stands waiting for you. If you’re unsure about which organization to join, feel free to visit the DSZ Expo Stand, where you can check out the Student Organizations’ Publication and the members of the Student Union (HÖK) will be there to assist you in making your decision.

Berlin felett az ég / Der Himmel über Berlin

Join us for a special film screening of “Berlin felett az ég” or “Der Himmel über Berlin” at Bem Mozi in Budapest. This German film, directed by Wim Wenders, will be shown with Hungarian subtitles. The film tells the story of unemployed angels who have been active in Berlin since the end of the war, as God left them behind. One day, one of the angels falls in love with a trapeze artist who performs in a circus with angel wings on her dress. To be able to fall in love with her, he must become mortal, like any earthly being. It’s a difficult decision for him to make.

BME VIK Gólyahét 2023 is an exciting event organized by the BME (Budapest University of Technology and Economics) - VIK (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics) Gólyahét. It is a registration week for the students who have been admitted to the faculty in 2023.

If you’re unsure about what awaits you at the university and would like to get to know your fellow classmates, then join your study group on August 28th at 8:00 am in front of the Schönherz dormitory. Together, led by senior students, you will explore the campus and prepare for the upcoming weeks and years. Since there are no classes during the registration week, this is your last opportunity to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy one last week of partying!
