Pandeiro Lesson + Roda de Choro (Brazilian jam session) at Szpot
Get ready for a special night of Brazilian music at Szpot! On Monday, October 30th, the Budapest Choro Club is hosting a Pandeiro Lesson followed by a Roda de Choro, which is a Brazilian jam session.
The night kicks off with PANDEIRADA, a group lesson led by Matheus Borges on the Pandeiro, a Brazilian frame drum. The lesson starts at 7:30 PM and is held every Monday at Szpot. The Pandeiro is a vital instrument in Brazilian music, especially in genres like Choro, Samba, and Forró.
But that’s not all! After the lesson, you’ll have the opportunity to join in a Roda de Choro with Budapest Choro. A Roda de Choro is a gathering of musicians where they play Choro music, a traditional Brazilian genre. Musicians form a circle, taking turns leading, improvising, and harmonizing with instruments like the guitar, violin, flute, and of course, the pandeiro. These gatherings are open to all, creating a sense of community and preserving the cultural heritage of Choro and Brazilian music. It’s a social and informal tradition that allows Choro enthusiasts to learn, share, and enjoy the music.

Mau Aguilar, a talented hand-balance artist, will be teaching the class. With his expertise in the field, he will guide you through various hand balancing exercises and stretches that will help improve your strength, coordination, and flexibility.
The HandBalance Class will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Inspirál Cirkuszközpont in Budapest, Hungary. The address of the location is Sopron út 19/A, 1117 Budapest. Make sure to wear comfortable and breathable clothing, such as sweatpants or leggings, and regular socks (not grip socks) for this class. Wristbands are also recommended for additional support and comfort.

Aerial Conditioning Class
Are you looking for a fun and exciting way to stay fit? Do you have dreams of mastering the art of aerial performance? Look no further than the Aerial Conditioning Class, brought to you by the INspirál Cirkuszközpont. This class will give you the opportunity to unleash your inner acrobat, build strength and flexibility, and experience the thrill of defying gravity in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
The Aerial Conditioning Class is taught by Marta Matovelle, a highly skilled and experienced aerialist. Marta completed her circus studies in 2019 at Espai de Circ in Valencia and has since been perfecting her aerial skills at Inspiral Circus Space in Budapest. She has also furthered her education through various circus, dance, and theater courses. Marta’s teaching approach focuses on the plasticity of movement while maintaining a strong emphasis on technique.
Not only is Marta a talented instructor, but she is also a performer. Together with her colleagues, she co-founded the aerial company One Thousand Faces. They have performed their show “Terra” in various countries across Europe, showcasing their incredible skills and artistry.
The Aerial Conditioning Class takes place at Sopron út 19/A in Budapest. The schedule for the class is on Mondays from 17:00 to 18:00. The class is open to both beginners and experienced aerialists.
Let’s talk pricing. For a single session, the cost is HUF 3,500. However, if you’re committed to your aerial journey, you can opt for a package of 5 sessions for HUF 16,000. This package is valid for 5 weeks, giving you ample time to attend the classes that fit your schedule.
