For the second time, the Kempinski Promenade Gallery in Budapest is hosting the solo exhibition “DISCOVERY” by the talented painter Zsuzsa Szváth from June 4th to the end of September 2024. Located on the ground floor of Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, the exhibition showcases Szváth’s thought-provoking ‘DISCOVERY’ series, which uses metaphorical imagery to delve into human emotions, fears, and hopes.

Born in Pécs in 1972, Zsuzsa Szváth is a renowned artist who studied at the Hungarian University of Applied Arts and later spent time in Berlin honing her craft. Her previous solo exhibition, ‘A Period of Change’, held in Germany in September 2023, was a significant milestone in her career. This latest series features surreal paintings that explore lost values, emotions, and the quest for truth in intricate and surreal scenes.

One of the standout pieces from her previous exhibition, ‘JULIA RISES TO THE CLOUDS’, inspired by a Hungarian band’s hit song, is also part of the Budapest exhibition. Szváth’s work has garnered attention in the art world, with publications in renowned art magazines praising her unique style and poignant exploration of human experiences.

Cristina Streckfuß, a curator and communication expert, aptly describes Szváth’s creations as “impressive, metaphorical worlds and peculiarly surreal scenes” that convey a sense of calmness amidst restless backgrounds. The exhibition offers a captivating glimpse into Szváth’s artistic vision and invites viewers to embark on a journey of self-discovery through her captivating artworks.

For more information about the exhibition and Zsuzsa Szváth’s remarkable works, visit the Kempinski website.
