Join the ELTE BTK Doctoral Programme in Medieval and Early Modern European History for a thought-provoking public lecture by Éloïse Adde titled “Is that relevant to speak of a medieval nation? A reflection based on the cases of Brabant and Bohemia in the fourteenth century.”
In this captivating lecture, Éloïse Adde will delve into the debate surrounding the concept of nationhood in the medieval period. Contrary to popular belief, nations and nation-states were not creations of the modern era but had significant political implications even back then. By examining the cases of urbanized Brabant and feudal Bohemia between 1300-1450, Adde will explore how these regions embodied a sense of nationhood through complex social structures and linguistic dynamics.
The public lecture will take place at the ELTE BTK Institute of History Szekfű Gyula Library, located at 1088 Múzeum krt. 6-8. I. em. 116, on 26th November 2024 (Tuesday) at 16:00. This event is supported by the ELTE BTK Faculty Scientific Grant.

Are you ready to unleash your creativity and step into the world of Improv Theatre? ANT Collective is excited to present a 10-week Improv Theatre workshop course in English, starting with Volume 1 focusing on Instincts, Senses & Body. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, this course offers a space for exploration and growth.
Throughout Volume 1, you will dive into connecting with your instincts, honing your senses, and exploring the power of physicality in improvisation. Facilitated by Tibor Gede, who brings over 20 years of experience in theatre, you will learn techniques influenced by renowned practitioners such as Viola Spolin and Augusto Boal.
The workshops will be a playful and judgment-free environment where you can experiment, learn, and most importantly, have fun. The sessions will run every Tuesday from October 1st to December 10th, from 7.00 pm to 9.45 pm at ANT Collective (1133, Tissza utca 11). Please note that there are only 12 spaces available, making it a closed group for a more immersive experience.

Hey Erasmus & International students! You’ve had incredible experiences in Hungary, and now it’s time to give back a little love during Christmas. Join us for a charity event to make the holiday season brighter for children in need. Prepare shoe boxes filled with small gifts and feel the joy of making a child happy. As a bonus, receive a free entry to our Christmas & Goodbye Party on the 19th of December at Heaven Club!
The gifts will be delivered to various institutions caring for children, such as public children’s homes, hospitals, and schools. Partnered with Hungarian Baptist Aid, who has been doing remarkable work for years, we aim to spread joy for the 6th consecutive year.
How to Participate:
Children will appreciate gifts like youth games, tale books, hygiene items, candies, and school supplies. Remember to include a little note with your best wishes and a photo. Label the boxes clearly with the recipient’s details like “GIRL, 8 years old.” Avoid including medicines, fragile items, or perishable food.
Gift Delivery:
